Job Title: HR Business Partner
Department: Human Resources
Location: Burundi
Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Position Summary

The HR Business Partner will support the overall HR function with a specific focus on managing payroll, compensation and benefits, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR processes and systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable in HR best practices, labor regulations, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Administration

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deductions and timely remittance to relevant authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and resolve payroll-related queries.

2. Rewards and Benefits

  • Administer employee benefits in line with company policy.
  • Support the review and implementation of compensation structures.
  • Coordinate performance-based rewards and incentive programs.
  • Provide input on salary bench marking and internal equity.

3. HR Processes and Operations

  • Ensure the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Support the development and implementation of HR processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.

4. Employee Support and Compliance

  • Address employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
  • Support internal audits and provide necessary documentation.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR
  • Proficiency in Excel, HR systems and payroll software.
  • Strong understanding of Burundi labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing the English language.
